Legal Needs of Domestic Violence Survivors
Survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking often face a wide variety of legal challenges. These challenges can place a strain on a person’s personal safety, housing, employment, education, divorce, custody, immigration status, and privacy. YWCA Glendale and Pasadena’s Legal Department provides legal services to dozens of survivors every year, helping them overcome their legal hurdles and break free from violence.
All of our legal services are designed to empower survivors with information and options to move through the legal system and become self-sufficient in order to advocate for themselves in the future. Services are free and available for eligible victims and survivors, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation.
