Camp Rosie

Camp Rosie is a week-long summer camp designed to empower and educate girls and those who identify with female development

We serve girls entering grades 6th-9th in Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, and surrounding school districts. Workshops and activities will focus on STEAM education, arts and culture, life skills and healthy relationships, and leadership and civic engagement. By promoting assertive self-expression, teaching important life skills, and fostering the practice of leadership in a variety of settings, this unique and transformational pre-high school summer program inspires girls to reach their full potential. Every girl will receive a supply package to support their camp activities. 

Girls will prepare for the future and form lasting friendships at Camp Rosie

Girls will be led through programs designed to provide tools for success and financial literacy. They will also be expose to strong women guest speakers in the following fields:

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Civic Engagement

  • Career exploration

  • Higher education

Campers that complete these workshops will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their pathways to success.   

Camp Rosie will take place at YWCA Glendale and Pasadena, located at 735 E. Lexington Dr., Glendale, CA 91206.

Pricing

Camp Rosie will allow local girls to attend summer camp despite financial difficulties, thanks to our continued partnership with Las Candelas, Kiwanis of Glendale, National Charity League – Glendale, and support from individual donors and private and corporate foundations.

This program is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture.
