YWCA Glendale & Pasadena provides resources and support to survivors of domestic violence and their children, and through our education and prevention efforts we empower women, girls, and families to build healthy relationships, achieve self-sufficiency, and live free from violence.

Ending Gender-Based Violence
Our Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Programs offer safety and healing to survivors as well as community education in order to break the cycle of violence. All services are provided at no cost and are available in English, Spanish, and Armenian.

Empowering Girls
Our Girls' Empowerment Programs are designed to support young girls and those who identify with female development through evidence-based Healthy Relationship education, Girls Circle groups, and pathways to the future in STEAM learning opportunities.

Advancing Racial Justice
Our Racial Justice programs address both individual and systemic forms of racial and gender inequities through advocacy, education, and policy change. We are a proud supporter and founder of the annual Glendale Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Gathering as part of the Coalition for an Anti-Racist Glendale.

Domestic Violence Supportive Services
Survivor support programs include case management, emergency shelter, mental health support, legal support, and housing navigation to ensure short and long-term success. Our trauma informed and culturally competent services are provided at no cost and are available in English, Spanish, and Armenian.

Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter
We offer a confidential 16-bed emergency shelter for women and their children who are fleeing abusive homes.

24/7 Domestic Violence Crisis Hotline
We are here for you at 1-888-999-7511. Our hotline is staffed 24 hours a day by trained domestic violence counselors.

Housing Navigation
Financial aid, housing support, and long-term planning assistance to secure stable living.

Legal Support
We provide free, civil legal services to survivors of domestic violence, such as assistance obtaining a protective order, U Visas, divorces, and child custody.

Mental Health Support
We provide mental health support for survivors including individual counseling to adults and children and a variety of support groups.

Case Management
Connect with a case manager to address immediate and ongoing needs at our Domestic Violence Service Center.

Violence Prevention Education
Preparing professionals, youth, and all community members in healthy relationships, consent, and more on their pathways to support survivors of domestic violence.

Girls’ Empowerment Programs
Empowering youth year round in evidence-based support group Girls Circle, TechGYRLS®, and Camp Rosie: Girls on the Rise.

Racial and Gender Equity Advocacy
Our programs include racial equity education and advocacy and policy change at the local level.
Annual Holiday Giving Program
We provide resources and support to survivors of domestic violence and their children so they can achieve self-sufficiency and live free from violence. Every year our donors make holiday wishes come true for families affected by domestic violence through our Hope For The Holiday program. Families provide a list of their most needed items, and donors are matched with them and their wish lists.
